Open Position- CEI CSS

Role Description- Seeking an experienced Contract Support  Specialist for CEI projects in Central Florida & Surrounding areas. The ideal  candidate will be responsible for various project-related tasks such as  developing progress reports, generating monthly estimates, tracking  time, processing change orders supplemental agreements, and unilateral  payments, and developing the Final Estimate. This role requires  independent judgment and technical decision-making related to office  aspects of the project and the ability to establish effective working  relationship with clients, contractors, and designers.

Requirements:Must  have at least 2 years of experience as a Contract Support Specialist on  Florida Department of Transportation (or equivalent) projects.   Must be a high school graduate or equivalent plus four years of experience in construction inspection or a Bachelor’s degree·  CEI experience having performed/assisted in project related duties  (i.e., Materials Acceptance and Certification, progress and final  estimates, processing Construction Contract changes, etc.) for FDOT·  Shall become proficient in Trimble Business Center - Heavy Construction  Edition (HCE) or approved surface to surface comparison software and  Engineering Menu.· Must have CTQP (Construction Training Qualification Program) Final Estimates Level II Certification.

Work Location—  Project locations are throughout central Florida, and you may be  required to drive more than 100 miles a day. Must be able to work  flexible hours to reflect the contractor's changing work schedule.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000.00 - $89,500.00 per year

Open Position-CEI Inspector Aide

Role Description-   

Seeking an Inspector’s Aide located in Osceola County, FL. The Inspector’s Aide will be responsible for supporting various transportation projects in the Central Florida area. Under immediate supervision, they will assist our team of CEI inspectors, ensuring construction activities conform to quality, performance, specifications, and code requirements. Their essential functions include assisting in conducting regular field inspections, performing  materials sampling, inspection, and testing, and performing contract administrative duties.

Requirements-

  • Must be a High School graduate or equivalent. 
  • Must obtain FDOT Intermediate MOT (company paid) within the first six months of employment. 
  • Must have basic computer/technology skills and experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, pdf etc. 
  • Must have experience and or be willing to learn and use the technology associated with successful completion of job duties including but not limited to Microsoft 365 applications, SharePoint, and Teams, and any client technology applications. 
  • A strong attention to detail with the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations


Position type and expected hours of work - A flexible work schedule to include days, nights, and or weekends  is required as work activities may  frequently change on short notice and you may be expected work more than  40 hours per week.

Travel - You may be required to drive more than 100 miles a day.

Role Description- Seeking an experienced CEI Sr. Inspector for project located in Central Florida and sourrounding areas. The Sr. CEI Inspector will be responsible for leading inspection staff and coordinating with the Project Administrator to develop an Inspection Plan for construction projects, focusing on complex aspects of Roadway and/or Bridge activities. This includes inspecting work zones for proper setup, conducting field measurements, and documenting results.

materials technician

Open Position-Asphalt Plant Verification Technician

Role Description- Seeking an experienced asphalt plant verification technician to perform asphalt plant inspection/testing services. 

  • Verifies that all equipment  calibrations are being performed at the specified intervals identified  in the Producer QC Plan. Verifies the materials listed on the mix design  are being used to produce the mix in the correct proportions and are  from an FDOT(Florida Department of Transportation) approved source.  Verifies that mix temperature meets specification requirements and that  all samples are properly labeled, taped and signed, and stored properly.
  • Enforces  the Automatic Lot termination and stop production requirements for any  QC test results that do not meet the requirements of the master  production range.
  • Generates, distributes, and secures random sample numbers for each lot of material produced at the plant.
  • Tracks quantities, verifies lots, assembles lot packages and checks contractor’s data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Tracks  lot closures & performs the split sample verification testing in  accordance with the applicable test methods and frequency.
  • Enforces the requirements for low Pay Factor (PF) materials and notifies appropriate personnel of non-compliance issues.
  • Communicates,  documents, and reports in an accurate and proactive manner. Ensures all  required documentation is completed and submitted with accurate  information prior to clocking out of each work shift.

Minimum Requirements: CTQP (Construction Training Qualification Program) Asphalt Plant Inspector Levels 1 & 2

Preferred qualifications

  • CTQP Asphalt Paving Levels 1 &2
  • Intermediate or Advanced MOT
  • Final Estimates Level 1
